And Another Thing….
1960 Ferrari 250 GT

The steering wheel was what first caught my attention, but it wasn’t alone. The horn button, the cluster of round gauges, and their polished bezels created a wonderful collection of circles within the cockpit of this 1960 Ferrari 250 GT.
I was standing inches from the closed door, holding my camera through the open window and being very careful not to touch anything. From that vantage point, I composed the photograph to fill the frame with those circular forms, letting the shapes play against one another.
Later, while editing the photograph, I began noticing circles I hadn’t consciously registered when I pressed the shutter. The knobs, the gearshift, even the mounting for the turn signal switch—there seemed to be another one everywhere I looked.
That’s part of the pleasure of photography for me. Sometimes I know exactly what has caught my eye, only to discover that there’s more going on than I originally realized.
And another thing…
