Transportation Arts is the brainchild of Mark Wood, a Dallas/Fort Worth-based photographer. Mark is cursed with “seeing pictures” wherever he goes, so his iPhone and his Nikon are constantly getting a workout. He is an unapologetic gearhead, and gets unusually excited about photographing mechanical things with wings and wheels. He gravitates towards the details that give a vehicle its particular character. Transportation Arts is his ongoing experiment in making the beauty of manmade things available to others.
When he isn’t photographing cars, airplanes, or motorcycles, Mark is getting dragged to car shows by his own son (payback?) and restoring a 1966 VW Beetle.
